Hello everyone today’s post is all about tea tree oil and it is very beneficial to you all out there. I will show you what is Tea Tree oil, each and every Tea tree essential oil benefits and how it is going to make you super gorgeous.
Being a person with acne prone skin I had done a lots of research on Tea tree oil, various ways I can use it to solve acne and many other skin and hair related problems with the help of this miraculous oil. I had even bought and used this Ryaal Tea Tree Oil and Organix Mantra Tea tree oil in many ways which includes a very amazing After Sun Spray.
And at the end I thought to share all my knowledge with you all and write a good detailed post on Tea tree essential oil benefits along with a few DIY’S.
What Is Tea Tree Essential Oil:-
Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil or ti tree oil, is an essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor and a colour that ranges from pale yellow to nearly colorless and clear. It is extracted from the leaves of the myrtle tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, native to Southeast Queensland and the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia.
Botanical Name:- Melaleuca Alternifolia
Parts of Plant Used:- leaves, twigs.
Actions:- Anti fungal, Antiseptic, Deodorant, Mental Stimulant, Antiviral, Cicatrizant, Expectorant.
Tea Tree Essential Oil Benefits:-
- It is anti fungal and antibacterial which is very useful in treating mostly any kind of skin infections like acne breakouts.
- Tea tree oil benefits even go to your hairs as it helps in eliminating Dandruff and Lice.
- Being Antifungal its a very potent remedy for toenails fungus, jock itch and athletes foot.
- As it is Antiseptic and Deodorant, Tea tree oil is very beneficial in disinfecting and cleaning any space.
- Some other useful tea tree oil benefits are it helps in bacterial infections, relieve Congestion, insects bite, sores, sunburn and the list goes on and on.
Some uses of Tea Tree Essential Oil along with few DIY recipes:-
- Anti Acne Cleanser:-
Mix 5 drops of Tea tree oil with Aloe Vera or Cucumber gel, apply on face and massage as a normal cleanser. Wash off with warm or normal water.
- Anti Acne Mask:-
Mix few drops of Tea tree oil in Two teaspoon of raw honey and apply the pack on entire face or any acne affected area. Wash off with warm water, repeat twice a week.
- Anti Acne Toner:-
This is the most simplest and effective remedy. Just take a spray bottle, Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil with 20 to 30 drops of Witch Hazel or Rose water or just plain water. Spray on acne affected areas twice a day.
- Anti Acne Moisturizer:-
Just add a drop or two of pure tea tree oil in Shea Butter or your regular night cream and let it work overnight on acne.By using any or all of of the recipes above you will definitely see good results against acne.
- Hair Mask:-
Mix few drops of Tea tree oil in your regular oil, preferably Coconut oil, olive oil or Castor oil. Apply thoroughly on hairs specially on roots and keep it overnight or for at least 2 hours. Wash off with mild shampoo. It will help you get rid of any Dandruff, lice, or product build up.If you don’t prefer oiling you hairs, just replace oil with Aloe Vera gel and wash off the mask after 30 minutes.
- Makeup Remover:-
Add a few drops of tea tree oil and rose essential oil to Olive oil or coconut oil, store the mixture in a jar with a tight fitted lid, shake until blended well. To use, just put a drop or two on the cotton swab and wipe down the entire makeup. Follow up with a mild cleanser or face wash to remove excess oil, if any.
With proper and regular use Tea tree oil can solve most of your oral problems like mouth ulcer, bad breath, infected gums and tonsillitis. Just mix few drops of oil with water and gargle.
Or you can just add a drop or two in your regular toothpaste.
Do not SALLOW it can be toxic.
Having antimicrobial properties, tea tree oil can destroy the bacteria that can cause ordour, thus eliminating body odour. Just add it in the mixture of coconut oil and baking soda, fill it in spray bottle, shake well and your homemade natural deodorant is ready!!!
- Multipurpose Cleaner:-
Add a few drops of tea tree oil to water in ratio of 2 drops to 100 ml water, also add vinegar and lemon essential oil to it and fill it in spray bottle. It can be used to clean and disinfect floor, surface, kitchen platform, sink, examination table, parlor table or any makeup table, clothes, etc. It can even be used to disinfect Makeup Brushes.
- Immune Booster:-
Just add a few drops of Tea tree oil to bathwater, it can invigorate mind, body and spirit, inspires confidence and dispels gloom of chronic ill health, hence boost immune system.
It will also help cure body acne and any other skin allergies or infections.
You can even add other oils along with tea tree oil like Black seed oil, Lavender oil, Frankincense oil, or Rose oil for additional benefits.
- Anti fungal soak:-
Toenails or hand nail fungus can also be cured to some extent by Tea tree oil by simply adding this oil in a mixture of baking soda and water. Soak the infected nails in it for 10 min. Repeat daily for great results.
Tea tree essential oil benefits are numerous, it is an amazing oil and over the counter remedy to many infections. But this oil is toxic, so these benefits can be achieved if and only if we follow properly all the instructions and do keep in mind these below words of caution.
- Do not go in sun directly after applying this oil as it can make our skin sensitive to sun and can even cause sunburn.
- If caused any skin irritations, lower the concentration, if irritation continues, discontinue the use of this oil.
- Do not use any aromatherapy oils for children’s below one year.
- Never use this oil directly. Always mix it with a carrier oil or water. Not to be taken orally.
- Avoid contact with eyes, genital area or open wounds.
- Avoid in pregnancy, lactation, infants, patients with epilepsy, asthma, heart problems, cancer, fever.
- Store in cool and dry place away from sunlight, heat and children. Close the cap tightly to avoid contamination of oil.
